Freezer Beef

Freezer Beef Information

Our Cows

Our cows are grass-fed, grain-finished Angus steer

2025 butcher date is March 26th

You will pay the butcher cow price to us and then you will work directly with the butcher to choose your cuts, provide processing fees, and pick-up.

Our fee will be determined closer to butcher time and is a portion of the price we paid for the calves, feed, and any additional care that was needed.

Hanging Weight

Hanging weight is the weight of the cow carcass after initial slaughter and processing. It's the weight of the carcass after the hide, head and some organs have been removed. The actual meat you will receive is typically 60% +/- of the hanging weight. Hanging weight is used to calculate beef and processing fees.

Average Hanging Weight

¼ cow= 150-200lb*

*These are general averages and final weights are unknown till the butcher weighs them
